Random Reaction of the Day

Random Reaction of the Day:

In his article “The Utopian Tradition of Russian Science Fiction” famous and well-respected Science Fiction Studies Scholar Darko Suvin called Evgeny Zamyatin’s novel We “not consistent or even of merit.” We, one of the earliest true dystopian novels (and not a Utopian novel that just accidentally ends up sounding dystopian to modern sensibilities, like Thomas More’s Utopia), and the main inspiration for both 1984 and Brave New World… “not consistent or even of merit.”

Like: Really, Darko Suvin, REALLY? Are you SURE?

Silent Sister
